To change screen resolution: First, check in system tray (the area of your task bar by the clock in the lower right) for a monitor icon. If there is one there, click on it an a menu will come up displaying your available resolutions and color settings. The standard settings are 1024x768, at true color (24 or 32 bit), and this setting should be selected if available. At these settings your screen will be set to view significant area enough to display most web sites and applications without cutting edges or requiring scroll bars. If you do not have a monitor icon in the lower right, right click on your desktop and select "properties." Then click on the "settings" tab and slide the "screen area" bar to the right until 1024x768 is displayed and then choose the maximum color setting to the left. Note: once settings have been changed, your computer might prompt you to restart your computer, and your desktop icons might be moved around. This is normal and not a problem.
